Prior to the events of BlazBlue, humanity was on the verge of extinction from the “Black Beast”, a creature of Darkness. The world was saved by six heroes who wielded magic. They helped humanity create “Armagus”, a fusion of magic and technology, to defeat the Beast.

After the war, the Novus Orbis Librarium Armagus (the Library or NOL for short) was created to govern the world with the use of Armagus. A great deal of dissent was caused by the Library, partly due to Armagus’ use in nearly every facet of society, and the widening socioeconomic gap between those who could and couldn’t use Armagus. This dissent would eventually form years later into The Ikaruga Civil War, when the Ikaruga Union openly rebelled against the Library. After the war, the Library imposed a harsher rule on the world, punishing any rebellion against the Library with the death penalty.

In December A.D. 2199, several years after the Ikaruga Civil War, a branch of the Library was utterly destroyed by an SS-class traitor named “Ragna the Bloodedge” also known as “Mr. Grim Reaper”, in an attempt to destroy the entire Library. The Novus Orbis Librarium Armagus, hoping to stop him, immediately put the largest bounty ever for anyone who could capture him. Interestingly, Ragna possessed a powerful form of Armagus known as the “Azure Grimoire” (Grimoire of the Blue in Japan), also known as the BlazBlue. This led to the Librarium, as well as the Ikaruga Union and other fighters, to be after not just his bounty, but also his grimoire.

After Street Fighter IV release it brings some life back to 2D fighters. =D The first thing you will notice about Blazblue is the beautiful character design. Another 2D figther coming out is King of Fighter XII. Back to blazblue!

Astral Finish conditions:
1. final round of match
2. opponent has less than 20% HP
3. Heat gauge is full

Astral heat is only unlocker after you finish character’s arcade mode. Astral heat finish are bad ass XD

Story mode is kind of annoying because to get 100% complete you need to like experience all the result aka even losing a match. Alternative ending I can understand but I have to lose a match to get 100% story mode complete like come on… but after you finish a character’s story mode you get a audio interview with the Japanese voice actor but no subs lol -.-

Currently if you preorder at you get the blazblue artbook, its exclusive to gamestop. Someone is probably going to scan it…

I’m only half way through the story mode, so far I hate playing as Rachel, because she does mostly range attacks. Ragna, Jin, and Noel are pretty easy to play with. Taokaka is fun to play with because she got like crazy speed and you can jump all over the place. v-13 is a hard boss because she can like summon swords from the rear =(

And I probably becoming a Noel (ノエル) fanboy. lol here I’m leaving you guys with some Noel Fanservice!

    Hows your summer coming along?
I should get this game, but I can never justify paying full price for a 2-D fighting game.

In the last picture, it looks as if her right eye is sliding off her face… I honestly don’t find these characters impressive, in fact, they seem to be the epitome of generic in regards to anime…
